Truman's Sketches

Burning cane fields sketched from a moving car as we
drove north to Barra de Navidad.

Looking toward Malaque from the deck of the
Sea Master Restaurant in Barra de Navidad.

Descriptive note taking in these ink wash sketches,
a small boat in the Manzanillo harbor, sharing
space with massive freighters.

Manzanillo hillside.

  1. I love the direct, expressive quality of your drawings. And the landscapes are beautiful, too. They'e smokey.

  2. I especially love the Manzanillo hillside. It was great sitting there with you and sketching.

  3. I never saw the color sketches you did on the Bara Navidad day. You got the fire! Excellent! I didn't know it was cane fields burning, either. You're allowed to post oil paintings you did on the trip too, you know!
