Invited to the incredibly beautiful home of Whidbey Island fiber artist Lynn Sheffield to sketch her herd of Alpacas. Despite the HEAT of the afternoon, the furry beasts were sweet and cooperative models.
Sue and Farmer Bob Frause have a vegetable and flower garden in Langley that is neater and tidier than my house! Not a stone or twig out of place! So peaceful and idyllic sitting in the shade of an old apple tree sketching a garden bench with its own birdhouses! Amid the brilliantly colored flowers and vegetables.
Yep, I do. Because I went away on vacay and let other sketches (of Beaver Island and Grand Rapids) slide in instead. So I have some posting to do.
