PANAMA CRUISE from Ft. Lauderdale to Seattle

A cruise from Ft. Lauderdale through the Panama Canal to Seattle was great with steaming hot weather through the tropics with stops at Aruba, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and San Diego, Victoria, Vancouver and ending in Seattle. It gave me a huge opportunity of time to create a sketching journal as we visited several villages.

The one casualty: we had rough seas and gale winds two days on the west coast leaving a dead sea tern on our veranda the next a.m. The strange looking butterfly was on our window had antennae or feelers at the corner of it's wings, so I had to sketch it.

This man had such an interesting weathered and life experienced face, I had to sketch him sitting outside his restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. The villa on the hillside at the Hautalco harbor, Mexico was an ideal setting and I couldn't resist sketching the boats in the harbor.

  2. Thanks, Judi. With the bright tropical sun for everyday light it made the colors on my pallette more inviting.
