IN A WHIDBEY VICTORIAN GARDEN

Longtime Whidbey residents Miriam and Phil extended the us a kind invitation to visit their charming Victorian Painted Lady-style home outside town for an afternoon of sketching, lemonade, garden touring and conversation. What an astonishing place and a great afternoon! For photos of all the fun visit

  1. Super charming sketch, Judi! Hey, neat sketchbook. What kind, and paper?

  2. Thanks bunches, Kris. I made it in one of Sandra and Meredith's workshops. It has a Tyvek cover, of all things, and the paper is printmaking paper, but I don't know what kind or the weight (90 lb.?) I am making a new one using 90# watercolor paper and a combed acrylic painted cover. We'll see how THAT one turns out . . . .

  3. Cool! I've been eyeing their book making workshop. I love the idea of working a sketchbook created entirely by oneself.
