Pt. Townsend Treasures

Sirens' looks like a local favorite. Now my favorite lunch & sketch spot.

After leaving in hopes of finding an outdoor location in the lea of the off shore on the way to the 'what I first thought was the 3:00 boat'  I found my spot in the nice glass-in-closed bus stop right before  the terminal looking at the bank and the buildings on the cliff. As it turned out I checked my schedule,
next boat was 3:45, so I sketched a moleskine panorama. I had to paint it on  the boat by memory & ipad.

BING, BANG, ....

A nice Whidbey Island cafe. I have to admit I had to used resist for the whites.

Langley's hundred-day war zone.

There was a lot of activity in Langley and some sun to warm it up. The only two things that were not moving, the naked tree and the 'smooth' caught my fancy.

Jess and the radishes

Just another venture with multi-media. I know it looks like Yupo. It's matte acetate.

I laid it over my pen sketch just to see if watercolor would stick. It 'played' like Yupo, yet I retained my orignal sketch underneath. Once I started the test, I could not stop.

 His creativity is endless. I have to admit, my favorite piece was his sketch board.

Trying to catch these guys in a pose was a real challenge. This was all I found publishable. I used water-brushes  and walnut ink and thanks to Pat, paper to put it on.

A step back in time

This was great fun. Next time we need sketchers that bowl to model for us.

Being One with Spirit at One Spirit Garden

We all had a lovely afternoon  in this inspiring garden. The Chocolate cake was heavenly also.

The fragrance of lavender was in the air

I've been wanting to sketch here for ever. Finally enjoyed the day with the lovely Anacortes  sketchers.

These are great rocks. I didn't do them justice. I'll have to go back again. I think they will be there for a while.
