Sketcher Portraits at Blooms Tasting Room

After dumping my paint water in my lap (twice) and soaking my pants while trying to draw Christmas decorations at Bayview Nursery, I decided it was time to repair to Blooms Winery Tasting Room. The results were much better after a glass of Blooms Syrah.  The lovely sketchers were my subjects.

    1. Thanks, Kris. I was pleased with these. You know I always do my best work with a glass of wine! Remember the days when I left faces blank because I knew I would ruin the sketch if I tried to draw a face? I should post some before/after face sketches to demonstrate the value of practice (and lip lessons!). Sure miss you at sketching.

    2. I've also learned how to make people look younger instead of older, which is always a plus.

  2. Yes, would love to see such a post. It's great to watch the process of your evolution. Ugh!I'm a testament to what happens when sketching falls to the wayside. Il be back. What agony awaits me in sketchland, trying to do a decent drawing in active settings. Ill need to find that sweet spot of not caring about the outcome. Freedom usually works.
