Snow Berries on Penn Cove

This sketch is a composite of images from my walk along Penn Cove near our house in Coupeville. I've tried to capture the brilliant whites of distant Mt. Baker and the snow berries in the hedgerow.

  1. Lovely scene. I love getting a peek of what things look like this time of year on Whidbey Island.

  3. Yes, I love it, too. The snowberries in the foreground really make it for me.

  4. You captured the snow berries in the foreground perfectly. That has always been a plan of mine to sketch the snow berries scattered in the wild roses that are growing along the road side of highway 20. The color of those two together is beautiful. Your sketch is lovely with the mt in the background.
