3 guys walk into a bar . . .and find they are being sketched by a group of rowdy middle-aged women . .

The Brown Lantern, Anacortes

Sketching at the Fisherman's World Market was such a great experience I doubted it could be rivaled, but it was! The Brown Lantern Pub proved to be another great location. Warm atmosphere, characters and good food. And last but not least, the camaraderie of my fellow sketchers. If you were to look up "Fun" in the dictionary you'll find us sketchers in the definition!

Griffin, the Guemes ferry boat captain asked us please not to sketch him because we'd steal his soul. Sorry Griffin, you were a great subject. Thanks for sitting semi still!

An unsuspecting guy sitting at the bar. I noticed Anacortes residents have great profiles, defined features and larger noses!

A young couple who looked like they were just getting to know each other. Very sweet.

Anacortes Sketcher, Missy Walsh, blew us all away with her sketches on Wednesday.  Missy gets the "Talent Code" award for most improved sketcher. Yup, she is obsessed with sketching, putting in her 10,000 hours and it shows!
