St Paddy's Day Sketching at Bayview Farm and Garden Center

With the Whidbey Island Sketchers yesterday at Bayview Farm and Garden in Bayview with the focused intention of SKETCHING SHAMROCKS. I found a little corner for me and my chair, pulled plants and "stuff" from all over the greenhouse, built a little still life, and had "foine toime of it" for the day. Erin Go Braugh
I wondered why I was the only person sketching, then finished up, went outside, and found them all in the garden of the Flowerhouse Cafe, having a party without me!

Fall color at BAYVIEW FARM AND GARDEN

YIKES! I didn't date this one and can't for the life of me remember when we were there. The 6th? The 13? I am obviously a little behind on my "bookkeeping". Anyway, it was a lovely day there, as always. Pumpkins and cornstalks and chrysanthemums all around.

What a beautiful day to sketch at Bayview Farm and Garden!  Sun shining, friends dropping by to say hello, chairs to sit in and view the garden.  What more could we ask for.  Hmm, how about a beer & delicious meatballs during Happy Hour at the Bayview Brew Pub!

Bayview Farm and Garden

Had the hardest time finding JUST the right spot to Sketch the newly remodeled and expanded Bayview Farm and Garden. Finally settled into my chair in the shade in front of the Flower House Cafe, with a mug of chai tea, facing the main entrance of the Garden Store. I'll have to come back to sketch flowers - there were so many! After sketching we gathered at the Taproom Brew Pub for refreshments - Ginger Hard Cider and a plate of crab cakes. Yep. A fine day, indeed, in a very fine location.

Bayview Farm & Garden

Bayview Farm and Garden is doing a beautiful remodel and we got to go explore it today.  Wonderful weather ... lots of folks checking out the Spring plants and the new huge garden shop.  I began sketching and somehow got inspired to paint loose and wet.   This young lady was using her Mac, enjoying a cup of Jo and I captured her essence loosely.  Fun!
