The Purple Chair on the second floor of Bayview Cash Store |
I've always been attracted to that plush purple (burgundy?) chair. I've wanted to sketch it ever since I saw Henry Stinson paint it in guache as a workshop demo. I have tried sitting in it - it's definitely better for sketching than for sitting.
Love it. Very nicely done. So inviting.
ReplyDeleteI like the shadows on the chair caused by the lamp.

ReplyDeleteThis sketch gives the chair so much more life and character than it actually has!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comments, everyone.
ReplyDeleteYou really captured the chair and perspective. It is inviting with a lovely velvet feel. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteYes, the perspective is wonderful and so is the sketch. It's such a nice piece!
