At "LIving Green"

Sketching today in the brilliant sunshine under blue skies in Langley. I arrived early at Living Green Cafe and Natural Foods, so I could grab some lunch. After enjoying a yummy bowl of steamed dragon rice, carrots, cabbage and sprouts, smothered in creamy Thai peanut sauce, I settled down with a mug of chai to sketch the iconic old building emblazoned with "Langley" in huge letters for all to see. Plum trees in bloom and a warm breeze off the water made it a nearly perfect day.

Living Green Natural Food in Langley

Nice way to spend a rainy day with the friendly people at Living Green in Langley. I enjoyed a delicious bowl of soup prepared by this fellow----seen through the window into their kitchen.

Living Green

Only three of us showed up last week.  The rest of the group were enjoying the sun in Mexico.  BooHoo!  Catherine, Betty and I were thinking healthy at Living Green.  I loved my fresh carrot, apple, lemon juice and plan on going back for the wrap for lunch next week.  The atmosphere was warm and inviting, smells delicious, banter amongst workers in the kitchen convivial.  They are happy working there and teaching newcomers how healthy food is delicious.

Living Green, and Other Colors

We had our drawing session at Living Green in Langley, Washington, this morning. Brrr. A chilly morning. We warmed up with hot Chai and started in. Watercolors were the course of the day. It's a colorful place with lots to draw. Part store, part cafe, with wood floors and charm. The little watercolor of Sue tells the color story. I think I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the visual stuff, but managed to get a couple drawings I like.
