Still Life Heaven

What can I say.  We had a wonderful time, the weather cooperated and Barbs house is a perfect place to turn and paint anything.  Still life heaven!  You can see that sketching people is not my forte, but I loved everything else.

Chez Moi

 

Hosting the Sketchers at my place last nite was incredible!  Such talent and positive vibes, fantastic food, and a coloring contest to boot.

Fellow Sketcher Pat Brookes brought me this beautiful robin's nest from her garden.  It is truly it's own piece of art work with it's inter-weavings of mosses and twigs.  There are even little egg shards in ... what else? ... robin's egg blue.

A couple of us sat around and sketched it.  Here's my version.

Sketcher's Retreat- Chez Barb

The long-awaited sketchers' retreat chez Barb met all our expectations. It had all the essential elements. Wine, women, fabulous food, laughter, story telling, buddy art, coloring books, sunshine, birds, flowers, cats, jammies and a cozy fire in the stove. Definitely the sketching event of the year. So far . . . .
