Out of the Comfort Zone

Tried my hand at watercolor-only yesterday.  Definitely out of my comfort zone, but must push forward.  Much practice needed.

Thanks to Faye for hosting our Whidbey Island Sketchers 1st birthday and to my fellow sketchers for your inspiration and tips all year.

    Painting without the lines to define the object reminds us of our first attempt in school when we had to paint w/o the colorbook! It's a challenge for me every time I make the attempt and wonder where it's going to take me....remembering all the time 'it's only paper.'
